This policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit smartrdi.net or contact us through it, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.

1. Who we are

The data controller is Smart Research & Development International S.R.L. ("SmartRDI", "we", "us"), registered office at Strada Peroni 14-16, Bucharest, Romania (CUI 37979480, Trade Register no. J2017012712401). For any privacy question, write to office@smartrdi.net.

2. What we collect and why

Contact form

If you send us a message, we receive the name, email address and message you type into the form. We use them only to reply to your enquiry and to follow up on it. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering requests you send us, and steps taken at your request before a possible contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and (b)).

You can also write to us directly at office@smartrdi.net; the same use applies.

Server logs

Like any website, our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and keep it secure. We do not use this data to identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in running a secure website.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal data, run advertising, or build profiles of visitors. We do not currently use analytics.

3. Cookies and local storage

The site does not use cookies, local storage or any other tracking technology, so there is nothing to accept or decline.

If we ever add analytics or other optional tools, they will only run after you give your consent, and this page will be updated to list them first.

4. Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf or when you load the site. The site's fonts are hosted on our own server, so no font provider receives your IP address:

• EmailJS delivers contact-form messages to our mailbox. Your name, email and message pass through their service.
• Google Firebase Hosting serves the website and processes technical request data (see server logs above).

Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area, notably in the United States. Where that is the case, transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law requires it.

5. How long we keep data

Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting relationship, and then deleted, normally within 24 months of the last exchange. Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short period under its own policy.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
• have inaccurate data corrected or data erased;
• restrict or object to our processing;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these, email office@smartrdi.net. We will answer within one month. If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you may complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP, or to the authority in your own country.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS and we limit access to the mailbox that receives contact messages. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information through the contact form.

8. External links

The site links to third-party pages such as LinkedIn and partner project sites. They have their own privacy practices, which we do not control.

9. Changes

We may update this policy, for example when we add a new tool. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
